Walker County Busted Mugshots is a private reference service, not a government office. It cannot confirm custody, release anyone, post bond, or pull an official booking record. Contact the office that created or holds the record for a reliable answer.
Walker County Official Contacts
The Walker County Sheriff's Office operates the Walker County Detention Center and is the starting point for a county jail booking record, current jail information, or a records request. The sheriff's published agency hours are seven days a week, 24 hours a day. That statement describes the agency, not a separate schedule for records clerks or copy staff; no records-clerk hours were published in the source reviewed.

Published agency hours: seven days a week, 24 hours a day.
For a written request, use the WCSO open-records form and describe the booking sheet, photograph, or other releasable item sought. The WCSO Automated Inmate System instructions explain the telephone search route: call 706-638-1909, press 3 for Detention, then press 1 for AIS. The sheriff warns that processing and booking may take eight hours or more, so a missing result during that interval does not prove that someone is not in custody. For a dated admission, the Daily Jail Reports index is a separate publication channel, not a live roster.
Which Office Holds Which Record?
The right contact depends on the record type and custody stage. The county jail, city police departments, courts, GDC, and federal agencies do not share one master file. The county-wide Walker County mugshot and arrest hub explains the search order, while these routing distinctions keep one agency's record from being mistaken for another's.
- WCSO and the county jail: ask WCSO for the Walker County Detention Center booking sheet, releasable booking photograph, and jail-held release information. Use WCSO for current county custody, not a city police department.
- Warrants and wanted notices: use Most Wanted Fugitives for the safe verification path, then contact WCSO or the relevant court for a current answer. Do not approach anyone named in a notice.
- Daily intake reports: the WCSO report index and the local dated intake archive can show an admission entry, but a dated report does not confirm that the person remains housed. Call WCSO or use Georgia VINELink for custody-change information.
- City police: LaFayette Police, Rossville Police, or Chickamauga Police keeps its own incident, arrest, citation, and agency-file records. A city arrest report should be requested from the originating department. If the person was accepted into county custody, request the separate jail booking record from WCSO.
- Georgia courts: use the Georgia Courts e-access directory for Walker State and Walker Superior Court routes. PeachCourt access requires an account. Contact the appropriate clerk for certified copies or older or unindexed material. A court docket supplies the disposition, not the sheriff's intake table.
- Georgia Department of Corrections: the GDC Find an Offender query covers sentenced state correctional custody or GDC supervision. It is not the search tool for a person merely booked into the Walker County Detention Center.
- Federal custody: use the Bureau of Prisons inmate locator for federal BOP custody. It does not publish inmate photographs, and a local detainee held for federal court may not yet appear in a sentenced-prison database.
- Immigration custody: use the ICE Online Detainee Locator for an immigration detention question. It is not a Walker County criminal-case or local booking-photo archive.
